Borderlands 3: Deep Dive
Borderlands 3 is being released this Friday. I decided it would be a great opportunity to look at some of the key features we can expect.
There are four all-new vault hunter, each more customizable than all their counterparts from previous games combined. Maze is a gunner who can digistruct and pilot a mech. Amara is a siren who can summon and smash enemies with ethereal fists. FL4K is a beastmaster whose pets prey bandits. Zane is an operative who uses gadgets to cause chaos on the battlefield.
Your enemies in Borderlands 3 represent the very worst that this untamed corner of the galaxy has to offer. Psychos, stags and “super badasses” of all shapes and sizes will do anything in their power to stop you. They’re smart enough to seek cover, support each other and to co-ordinate their attacks. The Calypso Twins, Troy and Tyreen, are ruthless new media cult leaders who have convinced the bandit clans of the Borderlands, that they are their gods and saviours. They consider the power of the vaults to be their birthright and are loading their weaponized worshippers.
Borderlands features over a billion guns. Like firearms with self-propelling bullet shields, rifles that spawn fire-spewing volcanoes, guns that grow legs and chase down enemies while hurling verbal insults.
Play solo or co-op. Team up with other vault hunters online, or two-player split-screen on console. Your whole crew will be able to deal meaningful damage – regardless of your respective character levels through the level syncing system.
You can jump right into Borderlands 3 without having played any of the other titles. If you pre-order you unlock the gold weapons skin pack.
