Halo: Reach is Coming to PC with 6.2 million Maps
Microsoft revealed earlier this year that it is bringing its classic Halo game collection to PC and adding Reach to the entire Master Chief Collection. Halo: Reach will be released first and then the rest of the series will follow in chronological order. Reach will be arriving on the 3rd of December.
All six games in Halo: The Master Chief Collection can now be purchased in a bundle on steam for £39.99. Halo: Reach will be available separately for £9.99.
Microsoft have also confirmed in a blog post that on launch day, Halo: Reach will have a pool of 6.2 million maps available to download and play. The figure is so large because it includes “legacy” maps made by the community for the original versions of Halo 3, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4 that have been brought over.
On Xbox One, players will find these maps through the file finder in the Master Chief Collection. For PC players, these maps will live inside Halo: Reach alone. Map making mode, The Forge, won’t be released until 2020. Theatre mode will also be unavailable until 2020.
