Here's Why You Should Get Excited About Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is releasing a playable Beta today. It lasts for 4 days from the 5th to the 9th. Its available on PC and console.
In the beta you get to tackle two of the main missions as well as several side missions and daily faction missions. This Beta will give you a taste of what Breakpoint will offer players in the final release.
The story of Ghost Recon is that we are sent to Auroa in, what appears to be, a simple recon mission. Our helicopter is shot down and we are left stranded in a hostile island. Auroa has been taken over by the Wolves who are an ex-US military unit gone rogue. They are led by your former brother-in-arms Colonel D. Walker. Injured and cut off from aid, your survival depends on exploring Auroa. You can play entirely solo or in four player co-op.
You can commandeer a wide range of land, sea and air vehicles to freely discover Auroa’s miles of settlements, wilderness, and roadways. Auroa is full of tough terrain. Steep slopes will make you slip and fall, water will slow you down, and snow will plow in your wake. Managing your stamina is vital to surviving the harsh landscapes.
Now let’s talk about what you will be shooting. Face off against armed drones, including the flying Mumur, the land based Aamon, and the massive, armoured Behemoth. There is now an injury system coming to Recon. When your ghost takes damage they may also become injured. These injuries will slow you down and reduce your combat effectiveness requiring additional time and resources.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint comes to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on the 4th of October for £60.
